What women think during an orgasm ??
Orgasm affects up to 30 different parts of the brain including those responsible for emotion, touch, joy, satisfaction and memory, found researchers.
The researchers asked eight women to stimulate themselves while lying under a blanket inside a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner, a tunnel-like machine often used to detect brain tumours.
Most women took less than five minutes to reach an orgasm although some took as long as 20.
During that time, the MRI scanner took images of their brain every two seconds to show which parts became active during the orgasm.
The scientists found that two minutes before the orgasm, the brain's reward centres become active, the areas usually activated when eating food and drink.
Immediately before they reached the peak, other areas of the brain became affected such as the sensory cortex, which receives ''touch'' messages from parts of the body and the thalamus, which relays signals to other parts of the body.
Once the orgasm has started other parts of the brain are activated such as those responsible for emotion. The final part of the brain to be activated is the hypothalamus, the ''control'' part of the brain, which regulates temperature, hunger, thirst and tiredness.
At the same time another area responsible for pleasure is activated - the nucleus accumbens - as well as the caudate nucleus, which is responsible for memory.
"In women, orgasm produces a very extensive response across the brain and body," the Daily Mail quoted Barry Komisaruk of Rutgers University as saying.
"Some women raised their hands several times each session, often just a few seconds apart.
So the evidence is that women tend to have longer orgasms and can experience several in rapid succession," said Komisaruk. A woman's orgasm last an average of 10-15 seconds, whilst a man's is thought to last for just six seconds.

Hangover - Try honey on toast of bread
This festive season, merriment will be aplenty, and so will be alcohol – but if you want to avoid that really bad feeling of nausea and headache the next morning try honey on toast, says a new study.
The Royal Society of Chemistry claim that the natural sweetener is one of the best way to treat toxins in the body post-binge. It contains fructose, which can also be found in golden syrup, which is essential to help the body break down alcohol into harmless by-products.
The happiness comes from alcohol. The hangover comes from acetaldehyde. This is the toxic chemical into which alcohol is converted by the body and it causes a throbbing headache, nausea, and maybe even vomiting.
The hangover disappears as the acetaldehyde is slowly converted to less toxic chemicals. Honey is also a source of potassium and sodium that helps fight the alcohol toxins.
There are a few other tips you can follow to help cure a hangover: drink a glass of milk, stick to clear alcohols like gin or mix your drink with a bit of softdrink. Of course, water before going to bed helps too. The milk slows down the absorption of alcohol, which means there is less acetaldehyde for the body to deal with at any one time.
Gin is alcohol twice purified by distillation and the botanical flavours it contains are mere traces. Avoid dark coloured drinks which contain natural chemicals that can adversely affect you.

Men think of women as sex objects
Men are more likely to think of women as objects if they have looked at sexy pictures of females beforehand, a study claims.
Researchers used brain scans to show that when straight men looked at pictures of women in bikinis, areas of the brain that normally light up in anticipation of using tools, like spanners and screwdrivers, were activated.
Scans of some of the men found that a part of the brain associated with empathy for other people's emotions and wishes shut down after looking at the pictures.
In the study, Fiske's team put straight men into an MRI brain scanner and showed them images of either clothed men and women, or more scantily clad men and women. When they took a memory test afterwards, the men best remembered images of bikini-clad women whose heads had been digitally removed.
The brain scans showed that when men saw the images of the women's bodies, activity increased in part of the brain called the premotor cortex, which is involved in urges to take action. The same area lights up before using power tools to do DIY.
In the final part of the study, Fiske asked the men to fill in a questionnaire that was used to assess how sexist they were. The brain scans showed that men who scored highest had very little activity in the prefrontal cortex and other brain regions that are involved with understanding another person's feelings and intentions. "They're reacting to these women as if they're not fully human," Fiske said.

10 do's and don'ts for a healthy skin
Tips for a healthy skin....
1. Taking hot showers
We all love languishing in a steamy shower but hot water can damage delicate facial skin. If you're prone to redness the heat can weaken capillaries making redness worse so aim for a tepid temperature.
2. Stressing out
It's well known that stress has a negative effect on health but it adversely affects your skin too. Try yoga and deep breathing techniques and treat your skin to a destressing product. The stress hormone cortisol is your skin's worst ageing enemy and as we age levels rise. Avoid coffee and alcohol to relieve stress as it will only ramp up cortisol levels.
3. Rushing your cleansing routine
The new trend of cleansing in a hurry using packet wipes has many skin experts cringing. Inadequate cleansing can lead to bacteria build-up and skin break-outs.
4. Dieting
Sticking to a strict low-fat diet can age and dull skin. Good fats are crucial for skin health, repair, moisture and flexibility. Essential fatty acids from oily fish, eggs, flax seeds, walnuts and dark green vegetables are particularly important.
5. Eating sugary snacks
Too much sugar in the bloodstream widens your waistline and can result in wrinkles.
Glycation is a process where sugar in the bloodstream reacts with collagen in the skin and changes its structure from springy and stretchy to hard and brittle and can lead to premature skin ageing.
The process is accelerated in people with poor insulin control but Melanie advises cutting back on sugar. Snacks containing protein are the best option when cravings strike, especially nuts and seeds because they contain skin-friendly oils.
6. Not wearing sun protection
If you slather on SPF protection only when the sun is shining you're not doing enough.
Using a broad-spectrum sun protection moisturiser with SPF 30-50 under make-up all year round.
7. Neglecting your neck
You should care for your neck exactly as you do your face so apply all your facial skincare products from the hairline right down to the neck and décolletage.
Use an antioxidant serum under your sun protection moisturiser every day.
8. Not protecting against pollution
Exposure to environmental pollution plus passive exposure to tobacco smoke can cause oxidative stress and damage to skin.
Pollutants can also make the skin more sensitive to the harmful effects of UV exposure.
9. Drinking too much
Alcohol dilates the capillaries and over time can lead to broken veins and flushing of the face, deplete the body of vitamin A, an important antioxidant for skin elasticity, and dehydrate leaving your skin more prone to wrinkling.
So drink water alongside alcohol and make sure you are getting enough daily fluid, advised Tanya Haffner.
Six to eight glasses will give your skin the necessary moisture for a dewy look and help flush out toxins.
If you are sipping cocktails on your night out forego the straw as the sucking effect encourages wrinkles to form round the mouth.
10. Not sleeping enough
Skin regenerates at night so make sure you get eight hours.
Studies have shown lack of sleep can increase cortisol levels, which is associated with acceleration of the ageing process, reduced collagen production and increased collagen degradation.
